MUST HAVE Mid-Summer Jewels

10-0058 Strawberry Mocha Watch
August has begun, which means that summer is officially more than half over, but the good news is - there's still almost half left! Along with beginning to fondle those flyers full of school supplies, most of the Canadian women I know start to think about their fall wardrobe. Have you seen the new styles coming in? There are two very different style trends seen out there. The first one is classic colours. Think muted everything from mocha to eggplant to peachy-pink. Oh - and muted greize, as I like to call the rich-looking brown-grey that seems to be everywhere. Wouldn't the Strawberry Mocha Watch look stunning with all of those colours? As a bonus, it would work in all seasons.
Still not ready to let summer go? I'm not either. Pair your new watch with these summery earrings. The rhodochrosite stones on these earrings are the same as the stones in the watch.

The other style trend that seems to be dominant this fall is for BRIGHTS!! Check out this style blog to see what I mean:
(This brings back 80's flashbacks for me, but I've noticed that this time around the shapes are at least more classic...). If you are of my vintage and just can't go there with clothes, perhaps pair some bright accessories with khakis and still embrace this season's biggest trend.
Talk about a fun punch of colour that covers all of the new brights coming in! These gorgeous lampwork beads were purchased from Bliss Beads in Invermere. The lime green stones are green Peruvian opals, the orange ones are carnelian and the red/orange bead at the end is sponge coral. This should keep you feeling summery for awhile longer.

Need earrings to go with that? Pick these bright coral and purple lampwork beads on hand-forged ear wires. Sublime.

May the Classic or Bright Bling be with You...
